Program Overview

Enya Nova is an immersive 8-week bridge program designed to improve English literacy, facilitate social connection, and increase classroom engagement for K-6 students. Our holistic approach supports families by connecting them with essential community resources, including guidance on legal services, housing assistance, and job search support, ensuring a comprehensive support system for newcomer families.

Our 8-week program features distinct themes, blending education and creativity, with activities tailored for different age groups while fostering cohesive community experiences.

Week 1: "My New World" - Identity & Introduction

Educational Focus: Foundational vocabulary, self-introduction, cultural sharing.
Creative Focus: Personal storytelling, identity art projects.

Week 2: "Nature Explorer" - Environment & Science

Educational Focus: Nature vocabulary, observation skills, basic scientific inquiry.
Creative Focus: Nature art, outdoor exploration documentation.

Week 3: "Story Weavers" - Literacy & Imagination

Educational Focus: Narrative structure, reading comprehension, storytelling techniques.
Creative Focus: Collaborative storytelling, book creation, dramatic interpretation.

Week 4: "Global Citizens" - Cultural Exchange & Geography

Educational Focus: Cultural vocabulary, geographic concepts, global awareness.

Daily Schedule

Our hybrid summer camp includes two days of after-school instruction per week, each lasting 2 hours. The in-person sessions incorporate physical activity, arts, mindfulness, and hands-on projects, alongside familiarizing students with technology. The camp opens with our launch event on August 1st and the closing showcase is on September 26th.

End with a Celebration, Begin a New Chapter

Our program culminates in a celebration of learning and growth. Weeks 7 and 8 feature a performance showcase, and focusing on goal-setting and future planning. Students will create time capsules and vision boards, celebrating their achievements and looking forward to continued learning. Through ongoing assessments and feedback, adjusting learning plans to foster growth, confidence, and lifelong learning.
